Stayed here last week. Booked the cheapest room as a Gold. Was originally slotted for a 7th floor resort view in Tapa Tower, but was moved to a 33rd floor ocean view room that I was quite happy with.

Between that and the $20 credit we enjoyed at Starbucks, it's impossible for me to say there are "zero" benefits for status.
