That is correct, as long as all 3 people meet the criteria for sitting in the exit row. If they don't, but you still click "Yes" to the criteria questions when you check in, you will be moved to a different seat at the gate or on board.
Interesting! Thanks. Only one of us meets the requirements, so that's a shame. I don't want to hassle the FA's, so I'm going to stick with a regular seat.
