The only security checkpoint between terminals in PHL is for terminal F. And that checkpoint can be avoided by using the shuttle bus to stay within the secure zone.
Arriving at A and departing from B/C will not encounter security (assuming you have cleared customs and immigration).

I think seeing this threw me off:
Plus a lot of reviews I've read where people complain about missing their connecting flights because of long TSA security lines. But I'm assuming those people had to re-check their bags and that's why they had to go through security again.
