I did AMS/LHR a couple weeks ago and you do have to go through gate security and the holding pen. My gate number I believe was E44 and it was a LONG walk from the KLM lounge.

At that gate there was no priority line for sky priority. They also boarded Skypriority and didn't do a separate announcement first for business class (not that mattered since they didn't do a PDB service).
