Two days later (December 31 return January 7), I'm offered the Frontier round trip DEN-PVR at $329 and a bit less again a week later.
Then again, it's likely Frontier will always be more expensive on a third party website.
That price was directly from the Frontier website and I bought directly from the United site. Frankly, I think it's a glitch but it will lose them customers as long as they continue these pricing oversights. And yes, 12-29 is a very peak travel day as are all those between Xmas and around New Years. But, to be priced over $200 more than a legacy carrier on exactly the same route and time just doesn't make any sense. Oh well, I was patient enough to wait for them to post their fares, at least.
