I used to organize conventions and there were hotels that I required someone accompany housekeeping to keep them from opening the curtains during the day. Years ago, at the Seattle Westin, our Board of Directors had the entire top floor, with extra high ceilings. First day, curtains opened, it was like a sauna. The rooms didn't cool down until the middle of the night.
