IC Paris Le Grand
Were you (or for multi-stayers are you generally) happy with the hotel/stay?
Yes
Which room did you book and which upgrade did you receive?
Booked with Points so basic/classic room got Opera House View Jr Suite
How are the rooms?
Very nice, clean, room was big, great view, high ceilings
I didn't like the pillows though too soft and only 2 pillows for a king bed, I was expecting to have at least four
Its like Victorian design, nothing modern except the TV.
Not a big deal for me but you can feel the subway in the room
Washroom also had a nice view especially if someone is taking a bath.
How is the exec. lounge?
Awesome, food was good but can be repetitive, usually cold cuts. They didn't have soup if I am not mistaken.
The staff was awesome
It has two levels and the second level has a coffee machine which is very useful if you don't want to go down, though not the same brand but still good.
The view was ok, facing the roof of the Opera
Did you receive a welcome gift?
Yes, lots!
Key chain, French Macaroons and a box of cookies
Also got some Moet Champagne and 3x different fruit juice
Note: I think they did this because of the delayed check-in!
Did you receive fruit in the room?
Yes - 2x apricot, 2x pear, orange
How was the minibar?
I'd say it was well stocked up! Minibar includes USB stick and Adapter converter
Good selection had some Illy coffee in a can, Heineken, white wine, rose and white champagne, red bull, soft drinks, water, Jack, Johnnie, Bombay, Belvedere and some chocolates.
What was good and what was bad?
-Good
Room upgrade
Location
Lounge access
Awesome staff and service
The best gift/fruit set up
Got a handwritten welcome card
France won the game against Nigeria so the French were happy to advance to the next round of World Cup 2014.
-Bad
Room wasn't ready when I arrived at around 2:00pm, not a huge deal, end up going on a bus tour after staying 1 hr in the lounge. So it was still not ready at 3:00pm. There was no need to pull the RA card.
Value for $ or Priority Club Points?
Great value using Points when the cheapest room is about €550/night
Would you return?
Definitely
