BA say they re-unite most people with their bags within 72 hours, and judging from posters here that sounds about right. There will be exceptions, hence keep checking that piece of string.
That list of clothes looks ok to me, but again if you would like a bit of confidence then give your insurers a quick call since they may be able to authorise it immediately.
