Agreed on this. The other trick I use is to take the 210 and exit at Sierra. Go North on Sierra where you then go under the 15 and take a right at Glen Helen Parkway. You essentially parallel the 15 and then the 215 and get back on the freeway right after the 15/215 merge.
Most of the traffic is approaching that terrible junction.
