Hi im a qantas ff

Sorry pretty new to all this. We travel around 2 To three big trips per year private, no business travel plus a few return journeys to either brisb or syd from port macquarie

We have booked a family trip to la
2 adults and a 17 year old plus a 13 year old
Port macquarie to la via syd return with qantas
Plus new york to london return with BRitish airways
Us airlines to san fran from la
Us airlines from reno to flagstaff
jet blue from vegas to new york
delta from new york to denver
United from denver to la

We tried to use qantas partners where feasible and price was competitive

What id like to know is am i best to use qantas frequent flyer to accrue the points and status credits or join aa advantage or some other ....

Also considering qantas club ?..or some other lounge access as we have queit a lot of time to be spending at airports.

We also have a seperate trip booked to nz with
Qantas port macquarie to syd
Virgin syd to queenstown nz
Air nz queenstown to syd
Qantas syd to port

Am i stupid to try and achieve silver or gold

And is club worth it for us?.
