Romanos
I spent 5 days at the Romanos last week. Wonderful property, even when it’s full you never have the feeling that it is crowded. The views are beautiful, the facilities are first class. The Romanos is really a higher class than the Westin - which is also very nice but not so refined and sophisticated as the Romanos.
I stayed in a infinity grand suite, the private pool is very nice, it’s not completely private since the occupants of the suite upstairs can see it. But apart from that it’s a great luxury. The pools of the infinity rooms are a bit smaller, more like plunge pools, while those of the suites are really nice and comfortable.
There was nobody checking room numbers at breakfast, so it seems like breakfast is included for all. I asked for breakfast as my platinum amenity, and in the end I got breakfast and the 500 points. Restaurants are expensive, so you can either dine on the property - easy (and good) but expensive, or try the many small restaurants in the villages nearby, which are fantastic and cost about 1/3 of the price. Since the resort wants to boost the local tourism and economy, it’s good to eat outside - all the good places are within 15 minutes by car or taxi.
All the staff were really very friendly and helpful. This is really an amazing resort, I wish I had stayed longer!
