Not enough credit information on file? If that were true, they wouldn't have approved the cards.
Too many requests for credit? Now that is a new one for cause to close a previously opened account. Normally if they had severe credit concerns they would just reduce the credit lines.
But remember he opened 3-4 other accounts after the Chase accounts. With little credit history Both Chase and Amex do soft pulls every few months and someone got nervous and decided there was a pattern they didn't like? It might have been the BA card that he opened after the other companies that caused Chase to look at him? I don't think anybody knows and I don't know why they approved the BA card just before shutdown? He's still trying to get back his $95 fee. Maybe it was MS on the BA card?
