The bolding is mine. Well, the landside PPL arrival lounge is not currently listed in both American Express Platinum and Priority Pass web sites. Access might have been permitted in the past, it is certainly not showing now. Only the the two airside lounges are listed at HKG. If you have a valid current link, please share it.

Showing up with a stale brochure/pamphlet will unlikely going to work.

I shall write to PPL to confirm whether Canadian American Express The Platinum card or the Priority Pass may access the landside arrival lounge at HKG without charge. That's probably the best to clarify. I shall post again when I shall receive a reply.
