Yeah, nasty. I've never had them but my parents got bitten during a recent hotel stay. Very gross, and you'd really hope that airlines would make an infestation like this cause for downing a plane until it is bug free.
To the OP - Did you report it?
Can't eradicate something that is not known about.
Provide UA with the flight/date and seat number.
Heck--this being FT - someone would probably tell youi to include the pictures and ask for compensation.
