i am starting to formulate a hypothesis that UA may be moving toward single meal options on flights of >900mi but <~1800mi based on a few recent reports that others have attributed to "catering error". i have some more sampling to do to firm up my hypothesis.
the other option was the cold " continental" breakfast/cereal.
