So a month or so ago, I opened up a Suntrust account and got this card. I'm now trying to figure out what to do with it. All I know is that it's good to pay taxes with (although there's some random comments around of folks not getting their miles for this).

With the new difficulty of loading Bluebird cards (having to actually go to Walmart), I'm probably not going to otherwise hit $5000 in monthly loads on my cards (my own, my wife's, and my daughter's). I see that there's a somewhat obscure rule that you can online load $100 per day ($1000 per month) to a BB card with a bank-issued debit card. There's not much discussion in this thread whether the Suntrust card "works" to do this: would I earn miles for doing so? If so, I'm assuming there's no "automatic" way to load the $100 per day: I'd have to actually go on Bluebird 10 different days to get it done?

BTW, this is the first debit card I've ever really used in my life. I'm assuming when I make purchases, the money will be immediately withdrawn from my Suntrust checking account? I initially deposited $3000 to avoid any fees. I'm presuming I need to throw a few thousand more dollars into this account to make sure my debits don't take me below a $3000 balance, right?
