RE: the elimination of stopovers for INTL routes:

I have previously used award travel for STL-LHR, with a stopover in ORD to change planes.

Under this new change, would my award route then be broken into two separate routes: STL-ORD & ORD-LHR?

Or am I misunderstanding how this impacts me?
