Indeed. If you live in RDU and you're going westbound, to CHI, NYC or MIA AA is great, other than that DL is the way to go. As you said, hourly flights to ATL, plus both NY airports, BOS, CVG, DTW, MSP, SLC and LAX as well as random RJ flights to places like PHL, BWI, MCO, TPA etc.
