As a side note, the less a PP CSR's knows about us using these cards as pin enabled debit cards the better and it is something that probably doesn't need to be brought to their attention.
Nope. No pending transaction.

The failed 2 cards were not used at WM. I have 4 cards. 2 cards went thru but the MO did not print, instead the WM register auto-closed the transaction, voided the $1K MO and spit out Change Due when the cashier was waiting the 3rd MO to print. We were both caught by surprise on that. Those 2 cards are definitely drained as their balances are 0. WM did a "Cash" transaction to give me the $1K MO back. So problem solved.

After returned home I verified the balances on the remaining 2 cards were all good. I then went to grocery store to use them - that was the first time they were being used. Then they both were declined.

This morning when I called to check, the balances remain $500 on both cards. However when I went to option 3 of main menu - the system acted as if the card has not set up a PIN yet - instead of now you would be able to set or reset your PIN (as what I heard last night) it just said now you would be able to set your PIN. It seems the PINs set and reset last night, were not really activated. i.e. no PIN function enabled last night on the remaining 2 cards that were used at grocery store the first time.

Will drop by a WM neighborhood store later today and report back.

I could drain it with CC function. What I hate to see is and am afraid of, is if the cards have defective mag strips, then it would be a whole lot of trouble to get this resolved.
