Rep confirmed that the monthly fee would kick in on the 7th day.

Rep also said the temp card could only be used as a credit card.

It seems now if the card is not registered, the PIN function is disabled, even though you can still set a PIN over the phone but as the experiences tonight, the PIN function is not working.

I will try again tomorrow but if it still fails, that would mean the temp card is no longer useful.

However, on a second call, the rep told me that once the card is registered, you can use the card as debit card WITHOUT waiting for the permanent card to come. She even said I could go to the ATM to withdraw money right after the card was registered. I am not sure she is correct.

I may call again and see what the 3rd rep might say!
