Called aeroplan. Agent very pleasant but could do nothing but put note in file and advised to send in info. Did that two weeks ago and suspect I will be waiting for a while yet.
Second flight (and I entered aeroplan numbers myself on this one - relied on Air Canada the first time) now 2 weeks ago with no miles yet credited.
Flights were booked with Air Canada.
Presume Avianca hopes that I will give up.
Should get hassle miles in addition to those due.
I wouldn't be so quick to point the fingers at AV quite yet.
I submitted an 'urgent' email request to
[email protected] over a month ago with my 3 missing AV/TA segments from February 2014 after the imperfect, yet mandatory, online credit request form also rejected my flights.
As of last week, no one has even bothered to review the request at Aeroplan.
I have to ask, were these true AV-operated flights? AV is faster to post overall than former TA fights in my experience over the past 2 years.
Hang in there. Out of principle, don't give up. More importantly though, if there any Aeroplan lurkers reading this: you online crediting system is awful and your mileage credit desk in Vancouver is understaffed obviously if they can't read an Elite members email concerning missing flight credits that directly effect the next threshold bonus.
