+1. HAN is pretty grim. Check-in can be horrendous depending on the airline you're flying with. I once flew with Dragonair and they weren't able to open their check-in desks until 1 hour before the flight departure (due to other airlines using the same desks) so I was hanging round the airport for ages (the few seats being taken of course) and no sign of my flight on the Departures board. It was a somewhat stressful wait. Ever since then, I've flown with VN as at least they have permanent check-in desks so there's no issue with checking in on arrival.

I've found SGN to be very straightforward. Nothing outstanding but no problems.
