There is a difference. I'm expressing an opinion as to what I believe the truth is. I'm not knowingly misguiding anyone with false information - if that's what it turns out to be. If I'm wrong, and this is for real, then I'll eat my hat - I already apologized in advanced to those espousing this data.
If this is a joke - then the person who initially put it out there should be congratulated - as it was a very clever ploy. Others who *may be* trying to jump on the bandwagon by peppering in deceitful anecdotes would just be unoriginal sheep who couldn't come up with a clever idea of their own.

I'm sure I'm not the only one that has trouble doing money orders w/4 cards per transaction... it's more than the $1 loss. For me this represents about a 40% cut in MS, and makes another 15% harder. You can get a prepaid card in somebody elses name to buy extra beans, but I can't drastically increase the amount of my weekly MOs without substantial effort.
I'd like to believe it's not true, but I doubt this is some joke. If there is a savior, it's probably in that not all stores are affected, but hard to be optimistic about that.
My comments were not to discuss workarounds and how they might or might not work for others. If I am no longer able to buy VRs for credit it would mostly impact my time commitment, not my bottom line. My point was that - it doesn't make much sense for CVS to stop selling all these listed "reloadables" for credit if they aren't going to stop selling standard Visa GCs for credit - as the cost/risk they have for these would be mostly equivalent.
That might be a poor assumption on my part - and there may be parts of the business that no one here has enough insight into to explain why it makes *any* sense when everyone who is buying VRs today for credit will just switch to buying GCs (as the next best option) tomorrow. It is this particular point (among other smaller ones) however that are making me hang on to the hope this is just a joke.
