I was once in Alabama and my work dragged for another day after I have already checked out and hotels in the area were sold out. I had family friends in the area, bought a couple of bottles of wine, a dozen of roses for friend's wife, and expense it w/o questions asked. Then again I did provide explanation and saved screenshot showing any decent hotel within 20 mile radius was gone.
