At no point did I try to start any rumor. Given that most people in this thread are applying for 2nd, 3rd, and 4th of the Citi Exec card mostly because they think VR/BB should cover their minimum spend, I thought it appropriate that they at least know about this before the onslaught of apps prior to the 3/31 deadline.

And it's no longer a rumor. This is confirmed to be true at least on the regional level. It may not be an all-out CVS purge of VRs for credit cards…but it sure is going to be close.
