Citibank is retarded!!!!! This is the SM I received back regarding zero points reported to AA for 2 billing periods...
For your employee account ending in xxxx:
Miles are not earned at the employee level. Miles are only earned on the billing level accounts.
For your billing account ending in xxxx:
When applications are approved and an account number created, the name, address and any AAdvantage number on the application is forwarded to American Airlines. American Airlines will use an automated process to assign AAdvantage numbers to the new accounts. It can take 2-3 billing periods to complete this process and we are unable to expedite it.
As American Airlines has not yet notified us of the AAdvantage number to be assigned to this account. The miles earned on your statements have been retained at Citi. Once an AAdvantage number is assigned to your account, the retained miles will be forwarded to American Airlines with the miles on the following statement.
American Airlines went through a system change on November 14th which has caused some data processing delays. They are working feverishly to resolve this issue as soon as possible and we apologize for the inconvenience. Please allow an additional 2-3 billing cycles for processing.
