I have never in my life put anything in a sizer. I have never in my life been denied a purpose-built carry-on. I can't answer your question about the sizers.

This is much smaller than my Briggs & Riley Baseline, however, that much I can tell you, and I've never had an issue with that. And I'm quite certain it won't fit in a sizer. This spinner is smaller than at least half the other bags on the planes I'm on, too. I wouldn't worry about this one.

[disclaimer] I've not flown internationally with a carry-on [/disclaimer] My gut reaction tells me there is a whole lot more discussion about carry-on size around here than real life warrants. But I could be wrong. This spinner won't be a problem, though.
