I do have Diamond status however my kids are 12 and 15 years of age. They are pretty firm about this policy but at $60 / day for the kids i think it is a bit steep. i was able to work out an arrangement where if i don't use lounge at all on certain days then i don't have to pay for those days.
I have not seen any other lounge from any hotel chain enforce this type of policy before.
