J to HKG are not that full in Oct so you stand a pretty good chance or getting it if you're on H or higher. (Assuming you're Elite or Super Elite)
I would take that over the Eva Deluxe Class anytime.
Shareholder - you could walk into any Asian travel agency in Toronto and they should be able to get you a similar fare.
