Looking at my AAdvantage account via aa.com just now, I see a post from 13 Feb 2014: CITI EXEC WLD ELITE PURCH.MI. I am not sure why new Citi accounts would post differently than my longtime account, but wait until the storm is over (maybe Wednesday) and call again.

As American Airlines is still operating as a distinct entity, this question is being moved over to the relevant thread in the pre-merger American Airlines forum.
