I stay at the Alana DT about 8 times a year. Since the renovations, it's my favorite in Hono, along with the Embassy Suites. Low floors have street noise, but I'm normally above 16. Customer service is fantastic and it's walking range to all you want access to in Waikiki. I say this also because I think the HHV is too pricey, resort fee, too crowded and overrated for the price.
