I asked my cabbie as I was curious on the 1100 fare question. He said 70 at the drop for airport taxis vs 40 regular. An example was my ride to the airport from the Hyatt was 155 and he was very direct as I knew the way and made sure he took a good route. He said the flat fee to the hotel is 1090 so I'm thinking it was definitely not a metered can the post above had happen.
Now that I think about it, when I got out of the airport to the curb area, there was a "taxi" sign, and there was a desk where they ask your destination and give you a ticket, but it was probably one of the zone taxi's that just staged the area a bit to fool people. The one time before when I took a meter taxi it seemed like a bit further walk.
