I asked my cabbie as I was curious on the 1100 fare question. He said 70 at the drop for airport taxis vs 40 regular. In total then my ride to the airport from the Hyatt was 155, and he was very direct as I knew the way and made sure he took a good route. He said the flat fee to the hotel is 1090 so I'm thinking it was definitely not a metered cab the post above had happen.
