In CCU, this did not work. The 9W supervisor told me that this can only be done if the itinerary is on one ticket, so I needed to collect my luggage in Delhi and recheck.
I haven't ever heard about "Linking of PNRs", that too for different airlines. Don't think Jet agent can access itinerary booked on a KLM ticket. To best of my knowledge, what the 9W agent informed you in CCU is correct.
