A hook costs 2 or 3 bucks at the local hardware store. Any idiot can install one in about 3 minutes. Just do it.
Hooks in the bathroom would be one of my biggest pet peeves, albeit for a different reason. There's almost never a hook near the shower for a robe - sometimes there's barely a towel bar. And this is in luxury hotels.
It was previously listed on the pet peeves poll but it always came in at the bottom of the list so it dropped off and is not on the
2014 Hotel Pet Peeves Poll.
