If it's not already covered by a thread -- perhaps a more general thread -- feel free to start a new thread. (A moderator can always consolidate it.) If you bury a question within a thread with a different title or topic, the people with answers to your questions may not see it -- and it will be harder for future searchers to find answers in the future.
In my experience, I find the small, narrow topic threads to be a lot better resource than long rambling threads that cover multiple topics!
