There is a Sukhumvit Soi 1. When you get off the highway (which airport taxi would generally get off here if coming from airport to this neighborhood), it's immediately after the railroad tracks. You can go down the soi, cut through the hospital to get to Soi 3/Nana Nua (which is a one way). OK, hijacker. :-) I'm not sure that's called Soi 1. I'll be going there this evening (Bumrungrad) so I'll check the sign. It's also not an intersection that would be closed, so I think the OP might have been referring to somewhere else.
