Just tried to make a small change online in the same cabin and they are trying to charge me more miles. I don't think the agent will take an United exec post on FlyerTalk as a source.
I was running into the same problem last night. Took a supervisor to circumvent it and process the ticket. And almost 2hr on the phone.
