I was looking into that originally... but the cost came out too high for my 12 day trip. I couldnt justify $50 a month + tax which would come out to be $60+ and then not sure if T-Mobile will charge activation fee...

Then I came across the condition where you have to have used the sim card >50% in the US before you can use it internationally. I can technically come back to a pretty big bill. I rather deal with Local and know how much it would be. and if I blow though my £30 limit half way though my trip then so be it.

TGflyergirl: thanks! that does sound like the best deal at £3 day but I'm not willing to spend $35 for the sim card and then another £36 for daily access..

if it was just the £3 a day then that would be great.
