Just booked a fairly complicated Europe itinerary in business class before the devaluation and I continue to be impressed with a Star Alliance availability. It is a shame it is soon going to cost more, but Star Alliance will get you there and back in premium class. I checked AA and Delta using their programs and Alaska using code share. Not only did I find nothing (unless I pay the BA extortion fees) but I think if I had turned up the speakers I would have heard canned laughter from the website as a result of me merely trying to book a multi-city international trip in business class. I do not think those wanting to leave United because of the devaluation really understand how scarce premium class international award availability is on the other alliances.

And its only going to get better, with the whole pool of cheaply purchased US miles flyers disappearing as competition for TATL Star Alliance award space.
One would think that the UA and AC devaluations will also help a little.
However, good luck finding UA metal space after Feb.1 TATL
