Just booked a fairly complicated Europe itinerary in business class before the devaluation and I continue to be impressed with a Star Alliance availability. It is a shame it is soon going to cost more, but Star Alliance will get you there and back in premium class. I checked AA and Delta using their programs and Alaska using code share. Not only did I find nothing (unless I pay the BA extortion fees) but I think if I had turned up the speakers I would have heard canned laughter from the website as a result of me merely trying to book a multi-city international trip in business class. I do not think those wanting to leave United because of the devaluation really understand how scarce premium class international award availability is on the other alliances.
