Lightbulb Brussels - NYC: should I wait or should I go?

Hi everyone,

I'm new to Flyertalk but I have been to a travel hacking conference (TravelMagic in Brussel) and I'm enrolled as an elite member in several hotel programs so I'm not completely unaware of how to travel on a budget

I'd like to travel to NYC or Washington this June from Brussels or any nearby airport (AMS, CDG, DUS). I'm available from June 21st till July 13th. Currently several airlines are running promotions for travel till the end of April (KLM, Air France, Brussels Airlines, etc.), advertising prices starting at €399. For travel in June/July I'm getting prices from 580 euros and upwards. My question is: is that just a more expensive period to travel and should I just grab a €580 ticket or will promotions like the 399 euros deal pop up for that period later on?

Thanks a lot for any advice you can give me. I'm happy with a short reply, any info would be awesome

Thanks

Philippe
