Not responsive to OP, but worth noting: Flights heading south, e.g., to L.A., will sometimes take off from 1L and do a long, left-hand turn over the northern part of the Peninsula. In these cases, both sides of the plane can get a nice view of the City on a clear day, but the right side often gets a really good view.
