Again correct. From London it's a polar route, so you go in from the north and barely scrape the northwest corner or Nevada. From the domestic US east coast you'll fly basically east-west through Nevada.
Thanks again. That makes sense. (And flightaware confirmed this when comparing the route of a few lhr-sfo flights to bos-sfo flights).
