I am shortly taking her off to The Orient for an extended trip of unbridled street food. It's a longish trip of three weeks or so. We will be scything our way through vegetation to seek our daily food.

Normally, after a few hours she'll say ... "I yearn for a Sunday Roast" or "I love all this but where is the good old British Stodge". So before I go I try to overdose her on anything that is British and Stodgy in order to minimise the earache.

On Friday I cooked a vat of mash potato and cauliflower cheese and split it into portions for 4 day cookings. She has had corn-fed chicken with cookings. Chicken pie with cookings and today it was spit roasted lamb shoulder with cookings, ie Yorkshire pud, mash potato, cauliflower cheese, green beans, gravy, and mint sauce with a decent red who'se name I've forgotten because I have drunk it all and decanted it first.
Actual street food or Singapore's "street food," ie, hawker centres? Either way, sounds good...
