Be aware as well that there may be tax implications. I would consult a tax attorney or do research independently, as tax residency in that case could get a little complicated.

Many people commute by plane on a weekly basis, it's definitely not unprecedented nor particularly cost-prohibitive. Consider that you will likely want/need a car in both cities (rental or owned), and have the usual food / housing / airfare costs to worry about. Airfare will be variable prices, but buying appropriately in advance and shopping around can help cut that down. Keep in mind that airfare will potentially be substantially higher over holidays.
