In theory you can get any flight (DL, AA, VS, etc) to be issued in UA stock. It won't count because it must qualify for PQM to count towards PQD (atleast for that segment) and / or they are not a partner.

As for your situation, you should be able to call them and get US tickets though you probably will have issues (or have it become really expensive since they may only be able to get full fares). They should also count towards PQM/PQD until they leave *A (March 30).
