Ex-GS and will not consider going back to UA. I have flown exactly two UA flights this year due to better schedule on those particular itineraries. At check in for the second flight, the staff at the ORD Global Reception recognized me and saw that I didn't have any status and somehow comped me Gold status. While that was a nice gesture, it won't bring me back. The current management has burned too many bridges. I might be the exception.
