I just stayed at CY Soho... nice hotel. Tall, slim building... 8 rooms per floor. From my room on 15th floor I could see top of Empire State Building. Clean hotel, friendly staff. The tiny cafe/restaurant was closed Saturday night when we were there... I didn't know but found out later the front desk can sell beer and wine... we were watching football on the big screen TVs. We were able to walk to basketball tourney at NYU. Easy to get to restaurants. Typical small NYC rooms. My room (king) had nice big shower; SIL's room w/2 doubles had tub.... just in case that is important to you. Taxis right out front if you need them.
