I have sent an email to AAdvantage suggesting that South Pacific - Europe awards should now include routes via DOH (and also AMM on RJ). It would help make up for the loss of QF via SIN and BKK. However no response yet.
i've just come a cropper on this rule. Wanted to take EY F from CDG-MEL, there was availability too but they want 100,000 miles
Would rather save 40,000 and go in J via HKG/BKK/SIN I think...very annoying
